Sponsorship & Disclosure
Bits Atoms Brains is an independent publication about frontier tech, defense tech, hardware + software + intelligence convergence. This page describes how we fund the work and how we keep editorial independence intact.
Editorial independence
Sponsors never influence what we publish. We don't show posts to advertisers before publication. We don't accept edits to editorial copy. If a sponsor asks for changes to a post, the answer is no — and we'd rather lose the placement than the trust of our readers.
How ads are labeled
Every sponsored placement on this site carries a visible "Sponsored" label and renders inside
an <aside> element with aria-label="Sponsored content" so it's machine-readable for assistive tech and
search crawlers. All sponsor links use rel="sponsored noopener nofollow" per Google's link attribution guidance.
Where sponsor content appears
- Between posts on the blog index and any home layout that lists posts.
- Inside long-form articles, after every sixth paragraph (maximum two per post).
- As a slim row at the top of the site footer.
Provider
This site uses Direct sponsorships to source its sponsor content. Direct sponsorships mean sponsors are vetted and onboarded individually by the editor — there's no programmatic auction and no third-party tracking pixels.
Current sponsors
- Example Sponsor — Frontier tech tooling for ambitious teams.
Interested in sponsoring?
We're selective. If your product is a genuine fit for the frontier tech, defense tech, hardware + software + intelligence convergence audience and you want to support independent writing, email hello@bitsatomsbrains.com with a short pitch.
Affiliate disclosure
Where we include affiliate links (currently rare), we mark them with the same rel="sponsored" attribute so there's no ambiguity. If we ever take a commission on a product mention, the post
says so explicitly.
